It’s way too early to make predictions, but if the limo entrances are any indication, this season of The Bachelor is going to get weird. Between camels, shark costumes and someone calling Nick out for being a “piece of sh*t,” it’s going to be a big season.
Rachel got the first impression rose and an awkward kiss, but it’s Corinne who we’ve got our eye on as a front runner. So many folks are talking about those entrances, and the ensuing craziness. Take a look at reactions from the big moments of The Bachelor season 21 premiere.
Before Nick ever even stepped foot on those bricks for that awkward reception line, he met with some Bachelor Nation alums. They offered some good advice, but they also had some real-time reactions.

Chris Soules (@souleschris) offered a quick Twitter pep talk:

The big talk of the night, of course, was the girl in the left shark costume who wouldn’t let anybody tell her she wasn’t a dolphin.
Even Chris Harrison had feelings about Alexis and her dolphin/shark costume, saying on his blog that she “set a new standard for sea life entering the mansion.

Roxane Gay (@rgay), author and feminist activist, tweeted,

Former pro basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabar penned a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter, and suggested that The Bachelor’s mere existence is “killing romance in America.” He wrote that watching The Bachelor “is like smoking or listening to Kenny G: it can have serious consequences.”

A reality star from Vandperpump Rules, Stassi Schroeder (@stassi), feels a particular kinship with Corinne, tweeting,

Tanner Tolbert (@ttolbert05) commented on the awkward chat between Nick and Liz, who met at Tanner and Jade’s wedding. Tanner tweeted,

Former Bachelor contestant and current wife to Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici Lowe (@clmgiudici), is pulling for Vanessa. She wrote:

Based on the season 21 premiere, who do you think is the front runner? Any guesses about who the next Bachelorette might be?
