Hrithik Roshan on Bangalore molestation case: It is sad and we all bear responsibility

The entire industry is currently infuriated by the Bangalore molestation case. The video that has gone viral has angered the nation and a lot of celebs are speaking up against it. Recently at a press interaction, Hrithik Roshan was also asked to comment on the same and just like everyone else, he too had a strong opinion against the case. He said, “I didn’t see the news in real time. But yes it is sad and we all bear responsibility. We all must do something about that. I feel very strongly as a father, as a member of the society that if something like this is happening in an environment so close to me, then I definitely must be impacted. I must be affected and I must do something about it.” The actor made a sensible statement as he pointed out how we are all responsible and we must fight this habitat that is unsafe for women.

It comes as a shock that such an incident continues to haunt women in the country. Just a few moments ago even Akshay Kumar shared his concerns on the same. The actor put out a video on his Twitter handle where he stated, “My blood instantly started boiling hearing the news, watching the hooligans dancing on the streets with no shame. Even if I didn’t have a daughter, I would still say if a society cannot respect a woman then that society has no right to call themselves human. And what’s more shameful is that people even justify after harassing a woman on the streets. Why did the girl wear short clothes? Why did she leave her house late in the night? Have some shame guys. A girl’s skirt isn’t short, it’s your thought that’s petty.”

You can see the intensity by which the actors are reacting shows how much they are angered by this act. Celebs have lashed out at politician Abu Azmi’s comment on women’s dressing sense that causes molestation and rape in the country. While this incident occurred during New Years, the impact continues to haunt the country. Women especially are upset and terrified by the kind of society they live in. Taapsee Pannu, Farhan Akhtar, Sanjay Gupta have all reacted strongly to this incident.
