trailer: Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu’s social entertainer will give you Band Baaja Baaraat feels

The much delayed is finally ready for release. The movie stars Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu, along with Arsa Bajwa and Brijendra Kala. is directed by Amit Roy and co-produced by Amit Roy. The small town social satire was supposed to be Amit Sadh’s second movie after his breakout role in Kai Po Che, however frequent delays have been forcing the release date to be pushed multiple times till it is finally releasing in February. And now the trailer has landed…

We have often accused Bollywood of making movies on the uber rich, and not making enough films on the middle class strata of the society that roughly 80% of our population belongs to. But thanks to movies like Do Dooni Chaar, Band Baaja Baaraat, Sultan, Dangal, we the people are getting our moments to shine. is one such movie that takes us into the small town life, away from the sheen of the metropolitans. One of the major problems our country is facing is our society’s reluctance in accepting an inter-caste relationship, despite we always claiming that we are proud of our diversity. Incidents like honour killing and mob lynching are the worst effects of this hesitation of accepting love without borders. In, this theme is prevalent, as the leads played by Sadh, Pannu and Bajwa start a company that helps couples elope and get married. And their business gets successful as a result, because there is no stopping love, is it?

While the business gets booming and they continue help romance bloom, including a gay couple, they failed to accept the reality that the society won’t watch the ongoings idly and there are bound to be repercussions.

Here’s the trailer…

While we love the idea the trailer gives us, there is still that tone of Band Baaja Baaraat that we just can’t ignore. But there is that talented Brijendra Kala who gives the movie the much needed boost. And Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu’s romance looks cute. is scheduled to release on February 3, 2017.
