Aamir Khan‘s Dangal has set the domestic as well as overseas box office on fire. Even though it is in its second week of release, there is no stopping the movie’s great run. We just revealed to you that Dangal has managed to touch the Rs 300 crore nett (Rs 426 crore gross) at the domestic box office. If you add to that the Rs 158.70 crore (gross) that the movie has earned in the overseas market, then you will realise that Dangal has already made Rs 584.70 crore (gross) at the worldwide market in just 13 days. If that wasn’t enough, Aamir Khan’s movie has also beaten the the lifetime worldwide collections of Salman Khan‘s Sultan. Quite an achievement, na?
But wait, there’s more. Dangal is all set to BEAT Dhoom 3 and become the third highest worldwide grossing film ever! But all this was possible ‘cos of three factors. The first factor was the good product. Dangal was a really wonderful film that touched everyone’s heart. The performances and the story line was just fabulous. The second factor was the holiday season. Dangal released during Christmas and New Year, this meant it got two big holidays and that helped it earn massive amounts of money. And lastly, the tremendous word of mouth publicity. People have been raving about the movie ever since it released and this has helped the movie to drive more audience into the theatres. At the domestic box office, Aamir Khan‘s Dangal is all set to beat the lifetime collections of Sultan too. But even after that there is no stopping it. With no big release till January 13, Aamir’s film will easily rake in more amounts of money. We expect it touch Rs 350 crore mark and become the highest grossing Bollywood film in India.
