Aamir Khan’s Dangal has finally joined the Rs 300 crore club at the domestic box office. The film has earned Rs 9.23 crore at the box office on its second Wednesday, taking its total to Rs 304.38 crore domestically. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the same, “#Dangal [Week 2] Fri 18.59 cr, Sat 23.07 cr, Sun 32.04 cr, Mon 13.45 cr, Tue 10.46 cr, Wed 9.23 cr. Total: ₹ 304.38 cr. India biz. ATBB.” Not just that, with Rs 304.38 crore in its kitty, the film has beaten the lifetime business of Salman Khan’s Sultan (Rs 300.45 crore) in just thirteen days of its release.
The film is now officially the third highest grosser of Bollywood, right behind Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan(Rs 320.34 crore) and Aamir Khan’s PK (Rs 340.8 crore). Going by its strong hold at the box office, it looks like it’ll cross Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘s business by its day sixteen. And the business of its third weekend will decide whether it’ll be able to go past the record of PK and become the biggest box office earner of all time or not. But going by its onslaught at the box office as of now, we are sure it will beat PK as well.

Also, according to our chat with trade expert Akshaye Rathi (exhibitor and distributor), the film is all set to become the biggest box office hit. He revealed to us exclusively that the movie will most likely hit the Rs 350 crore mark. He said, “There is a great possibility that Dangal will touch the Rs 350 mark. The way it is roaring right now, it has a very good chance to do that. It has two weeks open for itself, so it is a happy zone for Dangal.”
