‘Apprentice’ Star Omarosa Manigault Joins Trump Team

Omarosa Manigault has been hired by President-elect Donald Trump, 12 years after she was first fired by Trump on The Apprentice. She is expected to join Trump’s team as assistant to the President and director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison focusing on issues such as community outreach.
The hiring of Omarosa, as the former Apprentice contestant prefers to be called, was first reported by the Associated Press and shouldn’t really come as a surprise. She already said in a previous interview with FOX News that she is expected to take a role in the White House.
Previously, Omarosa worked in the office of Vice President Al Gore before being transferred to work with Bill Clinton. She was also a supporter of President Barack Obama’s re-election. During Trump’s presidential campaign, Omarosa worked as Trump’s Director of African-American outreach.
Named as one of TV Guide‘s The 60 Nastiest Villains of All Time, Omarosa rose to fame as a contestant on the first season of The Apprentice. Since then, she has appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice and the All-Stars edition of the show, as well as more than 20 other reality shows and talk shows including VH1’s fifth season of The Surreal Life, and NBC’s Fear Factor.
