‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Star Melissa Gorga Closes Boutique Due to Disagreement with Business Partner

Another business of a Real Housewife cast member is closing its doors. This time it is only temporary, however. People reports Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorgais closing her Envy boutique following a “difference of opinion” with her business partner, Jackie Beard Robinson. Robinson and Gorga co-owned Envy but now Melissa Gorga will be the sole business owner.

Envy opened in January 2016 and the grand opening was celebrated by Melissa’s RHONJ co-stars including her sister-in-law Theresa Giudice. This January, however, Envy has closed as it undergoes “remodeling.” The boutique’s website is currently down and tells customers, “We are remodeling our website and adding new inventory. Please check back soon!”

It is unknown what caused the disagreement between Melissa and Jackie Beard Robinson. The two women will be going their separate ways professionally moving forward.
“Melissa Gorga is and has always been an owner of the Envy by Melissa Gorga boutique. Melissa and her business partner Jackie Beard Robinson have had a difference of opinion on how the store should be run and at this point Jackie is no longer involved in managing the boutique, but Melissa intends to maintain the success of the boutique by managing on it her own, and she is excited to open with a new inventory of Spring fashions,” a representative for Melissa Gorga said in a statement.
After launching her jewelry line last year, Melissa said, “This just felt like the next step, to kind of open a store. It felt like the next move. It’s pretty exciting.”
So what do you think? Will Envy ever re-open? What do you think the difference of opinion was between Melissa and Jackie? Will it ever be shown on Real Housewives of New Jersey?
