Jenna Dewan Tatum to Host NBC’s ‘World of Dance’

Following in the footsteps of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance, NBC is jumping into the reality dance competition genre with the upcoming World of Dance, which now has a host. The show, produced by Jennifer Lopez, will feature actress Jenna Dewan Tatum as host and mentor for the 10-episode series.

World of Dance will give dancers the opportunity to compete for a million dollar cash prize, with Lopez serving as a judge alongside Ne-Yo and DWTS pro Derek Hough.

Jenna Dewan Tatum, who is married to Channing, is no stranger to dancing. She got her start as a back-up dancer for Janet Jackson and appeared in the film Step Up. She also served as a guest judge on SYTYCD and is developing her own dance competition series for NBC with her husband.

There is still no word on when World of Dance will premiere, but the show is certainly picking up an all-star cast of celebrities as hosts, judges and mentors.
