Watch the cast of Bones discussing their final season Above:

“Wow, living with these characters for so long and hoping that their end would be complete, for me, was more about really the moment with Brennan,” David Boreanaz said. “You know, with Bones, that last moment and seeing it continue. So it’s not an end, but a new chapter for them and their characters’ lives.”

“We feel that we ended the show in a strong way with some stories that wrap up,” added Deschanel. “I think that we ended it in a satisfying way for fans.”

The rest of the cast seems very satisfied with how they’ve ended the show as well. Tamara Taylor noted that she feels her character (Camille Soroyan) got the resolution that she (Tamara) would have hoped for.

In a perfect send-off, David Boreanaz even directed the final episode of the series. He also told TV Guide that in this directorial venture, he had a very specific goal of making his final moment between Booth and Brennan really signify something.

It’s been a long journey for Booth and Brennan. Check out this nostalgia-ridden clip featuring some of the most important moments in their relationship:
